Shapoorji Pallonji Cricket Ireland Academy

Shapoorji Pallonji Cricket Ireland Academy

The Shapoorji Pallonji Cricket Ireland Academy was established in 2013, and aims to identify and support the most talented young male and female players in the country, and provide them with a bespoke world-class player development programme in order to have the best possible chance of success on the international stage.

About the Shapoorji Pallonji Cricket Ireland Academy

The aim of the Academy is to create an environment that provides a holistic, player-centered programme allowing the next generation of players in Ireland with the ability, desire, attitude and athleticism to learn, be challenged, and where becoming the best they can be is inevitable.  It will also retain a natural allegiance of Ireland’s best players within Ireland and ensure a flow of Academy graduates to National Senior squads and provide a pathway for a potential professional career with Cricket Ireland.

The programme will give players the opportunity to travel abroad as part of their development, in particular to South-East Asia, to learn about the great sport in other cultures and climates. For example, in 2014 players attended a specialist performance spin camp in Sri Lanka.

The 30 players currently part of the Shapoorji Pallonji Cricket Ireland National Academy under the guidance of Academy Manager Craig Hogan and his support staff are.
