The final four for the semi-finals of the Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup have been confirmed following today’s reserve day for the quarter-finals
Merrion were the only side already in the draw before today’s reserve date, and it was a mouthwatering set of ties to be played today with Railway Union visiting the Holm to play Donemana, YMCA visiting the Vineyard to play the Hills and North County hosting reigning champions Waringstown.

Donemana posted a fantastic 348 for 9 from their 50 overs mainly thanks to their two Ireland Under 19 World Cup Squad Members Ryan Hunter and Andy McBrine, Hunter scored 114 in very quick time and McBrine continued his good form with 64. Railway got off to a flyer thanks to Pat Collins, fresh from a century the day before, who scored 64 but wickets fell at regular intervals and Railway could only manage 207 all out which left Donemana as convincing winners by 141 runs.

Conor Armstong’s 75 led the way for North County who posted 252 All out against Waringstown at Balrothery. Despite a flurry of late wickets and a few late nerves, Waringstown got over the line thanks to South African Glen Addicott’s 94 not out to win by 3 wickets with 2 overs to spare.

The final team to put their name in the hat for the semi-finals didn’t even win their Quarter-Final as The Hills and YMCA played out a thriller in Milverton. YMCA were bowled all out for 157 with over 2 overs left to bat with Albert Van Der Merwe top scoring for the Sandymount side with 40, Tomas Murphy starred with the ball with 4 for 14 for The Hills. It never looked like it would be enough but a disciplined effort from YMCA in the second half left The Hills behind the rate and chasing the game. Tomas Murphy though, completed a great day by making 41 not out and combined with Cormac McLoughlin who made 18 not out to level the scores and leave the Hills on 157 for 7 at the end of their 50 overs, which meant they went through to the semi-finals on fewer wickets lost.

The draw for the Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup was made on Sunday evening and is as follows.
