The Ireland U15 squad to play in the European Championships in Guernsey from August 5-10 has been selected and is as follows
The Squad of 14 was selected following the interprovincials series in Stormont.

• Jack Tector (YMCA) (capt)
• Rory Anders (Phoenix)
• Andrew Austin (Bready) (wkt)
• Sonny Cott (Pembroke)
• David Delany (Clontarf)
• Gareth Delany (Leinster)
• Adam Dennison (Waringstown)
• Aaron Gillespie (Strabane)
• John Matchett (CIYMS)
• James Mitchell (Waringstown)
• William McBrine (Donemana)
• Gary McClintock (Donemana)
• William McClintock (Donemana)
• Lorcan Tucker (Pembroke)
• Noel Dunn (Coach)
• Brian O’Rourke (Manager)
• Catherine Goodman (Scorer)

Manager Brian O’Rourke said the boys are eagerly awaiting their trip to Guersney. “We feel we have a strong squad at our disposal this year. We have probably underperformed at this age-group over the past two years so the clear objective is to win the tournament this year. None of the players or management have been to Guernsey so playing on the small island will be a first for everyone.”

He added “Rory Anders, Andrew Austin and David Delany come into the squad as promising 14 year olds while the McClintock twins, Adam Dennison, William McBrine and Aaron Gillispie have already experienced senior mens cricket with their respective clubs. It promises to be an exciting week which will no doubt add to the players overall development as cricketers.”

As preparation for the trip, a two-day training camp will take place at Bready and Strabane on July 25/26th.
