Clare Shillington

Originally in the team as an off-spinner who could bash the ball around in the lower middle-order, Shillington is one of the most competitive players to have pulled an Ireland jersey on. A veteran of three World Cups, the Northern Irishwoman brings a wealth of experience to a young squad and was the first woman to reach 100 caps for Ireland. Among the highlights of her career are a century against The Netherlands in the 2012 ECB County Championships Division 3 play-off which helped Ireland to promotion and an unbeaten century against Japan in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier.
