Isobel is a left-arm bowling all-rounder and has played for Ireland for almost two decades, receiving her first cap against India in England in 1999. Among the highlights of her career are winning the European Cup in England in 2003, winning the ICC WWT20 Qualifiers in Thailand and captaining Ireland at two World Cups. Isobel’s proudest moment was leading Ireland out onto the field in her first ICC WWT20 match against New Zealand in 2014.
Work is coaching hockey and cricket as well as Personal Training and instructing Zumba and Yoga. More recently, Joyce has travelled to Australia to play for the Tasmanian Roar in the WNCL and the Hobart Hurricanes in the WBBL.
Isobel’s cricket heroes growing up were Shaun Pollock, Catherine Fitzpatrick and Belinda Clark. If she could choose three players to join her team, they would be Rachael Haynes, Heather Knight and Amy Satterthwaite.
