Rachel Delaney

A wily off-spinner with ambitions to move up the order with the bat, Rachel debuted alongside three other Ireland players against England in Abu Dhabi in 2017. Her career highlights include getting England player Danni Wyatt out with her second ball and scoring her maiden half-century against Zimbabwe earlier this year.

Outside of cricket Rachel is a Business student in DCU and she hopes to own her own hedge fund in the future.

Her biggest ambition is to earn 100 international caps and her proudest moment was fighting back from 35/4 to go on and beat Zimbabwe in an ODI, eventually winning by 12 runs.

Rachel’s idol is Adam Gilchrist and the three players she would choose to have in her team are Suzie Bates, Sarah Taylor and Ellyse Perry.
