Leinster won the toss and went into bat. After loosing an early wicket they managed to stabilise well with many from the top and middle order contributing to a final total of 149 all out. A strong start from both the Leinster opening bowlers left NCU 36 for for 3 in nine overs, but a 90 run stand between Reece Malone (43) and Matthew Humphreys (50) meant that NCU were in the promising position of 126 for 3 but Theo Dempsey (5-29)came back into the attack helped shift the momentum back in Leinster’s favour. Though NCU just managed to get across the line winning by 1 wicket.

NWCU U15 vs Leinster U17 (50 Overs) - 8 July 2019 (see scorecard)

In the second innings only one wicket fell with a partnership of 144 between Seamus Lynch (53*) and Louis McDonough (97*) sealed the victory for Leinster meaning that they finished runners up in the 50 over competition.

NCU U15 vs Munster U17 (50 Overs) - 8 July 2019 (see scorecard)

The toss went NCU’s way and the decided to bat first and a fantastic innings to 140 by Archie Johnston set the tone for the innings, with other batsmen chipping in, including a 64 from Ewan Wilson meant that NCU’s final score was an impressive 342 all out.
