Wonderful Wilson gives Surrey thrilling win

Gary Wilson’s impressive season for Surrey & Ireland continues as his wonderful innings of 85 helped them to a thrilling win over Derbyshire yesterday.
Chasing Derbyshire’s total of 295, Surrey still needed nearly 170 more runs when Wilson came to the wicket in the 21st over.
Wilson made 85 from just 62 balls including 4 sixes to see his side to within 5 runs of the winning target which they got off the last ball thanks to a boundary from Tim Linley.

In other county action yesterday Paul Stirling made 42 for Middlesex as they squeezed home to a one-wicket victory over the Unicorns whilst William Porterfield made 62 for Warwickshire but they went down to the Netherlands at home.
