DUBLIN – This Friday the 11th Clear Treasury Irish Cricket Awards will be held in Dublin, marking a return to an in-person event for the first time since 2020 – but the story behind the event is as much about off-field partnerships as those on-field.
The event this year will see 15 award categories presented, under a new event title sponsor, Clear Treasury (see announcement).

The noteworthy aspect of this year’s event is both the broadening and deepening of partnerships with existing and new partners, providing a sense of increased value and visibility in aligning various brands with Irish cricket.

The 15 award categories, and their associated sponsor brands are:

• Clear Treasury Men’s International Player of the Year
• Hanley Energy Women’s International Player of the Year
• Cricket Writers’ of Ireland Hall of Fame inductees
• Gibney’s Outstanding Contribution and Service to Irish Cricket, in honour of John Wright
• HBV Studios Inter-Provincial Player of the Year
• Arachas Super Series Player of the Year
• Waterford Volunteering Excellence Award
• Shapoorji Pallonji Outstanding Contribution to Coaching
• Butlers Club of the Year
• Turkish Airlines Men’s Club Player of the Year
• Turkish Airlines Women’s Club Player of the Year
• Clear Treasury Men’s Emerging Talent Award
• Beauchamps Women’s Emerging Talent Award
• KB Sports Hub Club Cricket Official of the Year
• Tildenet Groundskeeping Team of the Year

Business Development Manager for Cricket Ireland, Paul O’Sullivan, said:

“This is a clear demonstration of the growth of our sport and the great interest and profile of Irish Cricket. We are very pleased with the level of interest and investment from our partners in supporting the event this year. We see this as a massive boost to the sport.

“We welcomed the recent announcement that Clear Treasury would be our new title sponsor, but we are additionally delighted to have secured numerous iconic Irish and international brands to support the underwriting of the event, and to boost the profile of these national awards.

“When you develop and grow a sport these days, it is immediately apparent that you cannot do it alone. You need to invest in relationships, with players, with fans, with volunteers, with administrators and with business partners. The latter of these has gone through an encouraging period during which the rise in profile and visibility of the game has put cricket firmly on the radar of the business sector. The size of the sports sponsorship economy in Ireland is growing rapidly, and likewise, cricket’s attractiveness as a brand as the world’s second most-popular sport has time and time again proven its worth.

“Irish cricket has for many years been a sleeping giant, but since Full Membership of the ICC was granted in 2017, we have seen its stocks rise and an increasing interest in partnering with us. And this year’s Awards show the depth and breadth of brands that have taken advantage of these opportunities.

“Our great thanks to Clear Treasury, Hanley Energy, Turkish Airlines, Butlers, Waterford, Tildenet, Beauchamps, Arachas, Shapoorji Pallonji, Gibney’s, KB Sports Hub and HBV Studios – local brands, global brands, Irish brands, multinational brands – all coming together to support Irish cricket. It should be a great event and even better year of cricket ahead.”
