Cricket Ireland has signed its first multi-year media rights deal that will see broadcast rights for its four-year programme of international men’s cricket shown around the world.
The deal, signed with Total Sports Marketing (TSM), covers men’s home fixtures in the current ICC Future Tours Programme between 2019 to 2022, and will ensure coverage of Irish men’s international cricket in many of the world’s key cricket markets.

Warren Deutrom, Chief Executive of Cricket Ireland, said:

“This is an exciting time for Irish cricket fans around the world as it will be putting Irish cricket on the world stage and engaging many millions of cricket fans. This deal is yet another signal that Irish cricket is rapidly growing in stature and profile around the world, and that the quality and quantity of matches coming up over the next four years will attract significant global interest.”

“This is the first time that Cricket Ireland is engaging directly with the broadcast rights market and is another welcome development arising from our elevation to Full Member status of the ICC, and entry into the future tours programme. One of our priority objectives now is to work with TSM and our broadcast advisers Pitch International to ensure that, alongside our worldwide footprint, we also have visibility in our key domestic markets of Ireland and the UK, not just on TV, but also radio and online. We also express our gratitude to Pitch for helping us negotiate our first significant deal in this space.”

“The deal provides an element of financial stability for Cricket Ireland by allowing us to enter into multi-year budgeting processes. This, in turn, means we can – with more certainty – invest back into talent development and support the game at domestic and grass-roots levels.”

Mr. Md Moinul Haque Chowdury, CEO & Proprietor of TSM, said:

“We are extremely proud to associate ourselves with Cricket Ireland. Cricket Ireland and TSM’s values are closely aligned to develop and grow the sport of cricket across the globe. We look forward to working closely with Cricket Ireland to create an innovative and exciting cricket experience for the fans and stakeholders, and help take the Cricket Ireland brand to a bigger global audience.”
