Doheny injury forces Wolves change

Back
Back

Ireland Wolves’ Stephen Doheny sustained a muscle strain while fielding in today’s 50-over match against Scotland A and has been forced to withdraw from the squad immediately.
Doheny suffered the injury while fielding in the Scotland A innings and could not take his place in the top order during the Wolves run chase. While he bravely came out as the last batsman to try help the Wolves figuratively – and literally – limp across the line, his injury has forced his withdrawal from the squad for the rest of the series.

Nathan McGuire, from Rush Cricket Club, has been called up to replace Doheny for the remaining 50-over matches.
