Ireland Women continued their winning form in Division 3 of the ECB County Championships with a 9 wicket win over Northamptonshire at the County Ground in Northampton.
Ireland Women made it two out of two in their 2012 Division 3 ECB County Championships Campaign. Kim Garth starred with an attacking spell of fast-bowling that could have ended with even better figures than the outstanding 3 for 17 from 10 overs that she was rewarded with. Every bowler picked up a wicket but there is without doubt room for improvement and Ireland coach Jeremy Bray will not have been pleased by the 34 wides and 8 no-balls that were conceded by the six bowlers used.

Clare Shillington then showed her class with the bat as she scored a fluent 81* at better than a run a ball, as Ireland got over the loss of Cecelia Joyce for 11, with her sister Isobel playing the support role in a good partnership of 99 that saw Ireland home comfortably with plenty of room to spare.
