Leinster cricket are pleased to announce the appointment of Nicky Kenny to the new role of underage video analysist.
Kenny, who is currently head coach at St Andrew’s College, and also coaches with Merrion CC and Trinity College, will be working with members of a variety Leinster youth squads throughout the winter.

As well as offering detailed technical feedback to the young cricketers each evening, the squad members have been given DVD footage of themselves in order to perform self-analysis and have it as a reference point for further improvement when conducting further video sessions. Players are able to watch video footage of themselves back in person via I-Pad at each of the Leinster training sessions.

Kenny is delighted with his new role and looks forward to spending more time with the reduced squads at both their outdoor training sessions and also the tours planned for next summer. ‘I am delighted to be in a position to carry out this role with Leinster cricket and from what I have observed already this winter there are some fine young players currently in the system. Along with the other coaching staff, I will be monitoring their progress and hope that my work can add to their development as players’.
