The Typhoons chased 213 for their second 50 over victory of the season at Oak Hill, Wicklow.
Half centuries from Leah Paul and Ellen Ridgeway helped the Typhoons to a five-wicket win against The Dragons in their Toyota Super 3 clash at Oak Hill.

Chasing 213 for victory, Paul and Ridgeway shared an opening stand of 91 to lay the foundations for the ultimately comfortable win.
The pair struck seven boundaries each, with Paul top scoring with 66 from 103 balls, while Ridgeway’s 50 came from 70 deliveries.

There was a slight mid-innings wobble as Lara Maritz claimed 3 for 39, but Heidi Cheadle struck five boundaries in her unbeaten 34 as she and player-coach Clare Shillington (12*) settled the contest with little fuss.

Earlier Shauna Kavanagh top scored for the Dragons with a fine 64 from 96 balls (4 fours, 1 six).

The Irish international shared a fourth wicket stand of 75 with Gaby Lewis (36), while Mary Waldron also continued her recent excellent form with 37.

Best with the ball for the Typhoons were Vanessa Kaleda (3-42) and Louise Little (3-51).

The next match in the series sees all three sides take part in the Super Sunday T20 at North Kildare next week.
