Ireland’s captain since 2016, Laura has been a mainstay in the Irish set up since her debut against New Zealand in 2010. She thrives on pressure situations and led Ireland back to the world stage when they qualified for the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

A fierce competitor, Laura burst onto the scene as a young swing bowler with a steely determination that saw her take the wicket of Sophie Devine on debut. She always wanted to captain the national team, and got her wish when she was given the role in 2016.

Laura has overseen a changing of the guard in recent years, and she now leads a young, up-and-coming side that is navigating the move from an amateur to professional era.

She holds a Sports Science & Health degree, and is greatly enjoying being a full-time athlete.
