Simi likes to play a fearless and attacking style of cricket. The second highest wicket-taker in ODI cricket in 2021, Simi is a canny off-spin bowler who likes to bowl the odd legspin delivery as his change-up.
He originally hails from India but has made Ireland his home since arriving as an overseas player for Malahide in 2015.
After a successful club career for Old Belvedere and then YMCA, Simi eventually made his debut for Ireland in 2017 at the age of 30.
His favourite format of the game is T20, but he has enjoyed his biggest successes in the ODI format, including a memorable century against South Africa in 2021 when he became the first number 8 batter to record a hundred in ODI cricket.
