This fast-bowling all-rounder doesn’t need a second invitation to try to whizz the ball past the ear of any batter she comes up against, or indeed any fielder who gets in her way when she has bat in hand. An exciting cricketer, Dempsey does everything at speed and has an infectious love of the game. Still in school, expect plenty from this teenager as she grows into her career in the first era of professional cricket for women on the island of Ireland.
